Built for

Owner-led UK businesses, 20 to 200 people, where the founder has become the operating bottleneck.

Does this sound familiar?

01

Firefighting Fatigue

Every problem lands on your desk because there is no system, no process and no capable person to handle it without you. You start every day with a plan and abandon it by 9:30am. 60-hour weeks. No time for strategic thinking. You are the ceiling.

02

Growth Paralysis

Revenue has plateaued because you cannot scale yourself. You are the sales team, the operations manager and the quality controller. Hiring has not helped because new people do not have your standards or context.

03

Change Fatigue

You have tried consultants, courses, new hires and new software. Nothing creates permanent change. Tens of thousands spent on advice that gathered dust. The team is cynical about anything new.

I built this thing from nothing and it might break me. What if I am the problem?

You are not the problem. The structure around you is. That is what we fix.

The method

The Operator System

Five steps. 90 days. One outcome. A business that runs without the founder holding it together.

  1. 01

    Reality Check

Honest, data-driven assessment of where the business actually is versus where the owner thinks it is. No politics. No sugar-coating.

  2. 02

    Priority Lock

Identify the three non-negotiable outcomes for the next 90 days. Cut everything else. Ruthless prioritisation that creates focus.

  3. 03

    System Build

Install the operating rhythms, processes, dashboards and AI tools that let the business run without the founder in every meeting.

  4. 04

    Team Grip

Get the right people in the right seats, doing the right work. Clarify accountability so problems get solved at the level they belong.

  5. 05

    Execution Rhythm

Weekly and monthly cadences that create visibility, accountability and momentum. The drumbeat that makes everything stick.

The principle that runs through every step

Systems beat talent. Rhythm beats motivation. Execution beats strategy.

Track record

Where we have done the work.

£7bn programme recovered

A delayed FTSE 100 financial services programme, blocking new business at scale, brought back on track.

RBS Group rebranded to NatWest

Major institutional brand transition, delivered across customer-facing and operational systems.

Time-to-market cut by two thirds

New product introduction inside a UK financial institution, restructured to ship in a third of the time.

We bring the same operating discipline that ran these programmes to the businesses we work with today.

Straight answers

Questions owners actually ask.

What does The Thirty Co. actually do?

We install the operating structure that lets a business run without the owner being the bottleneck. That means locking the two or three outcomes that matter, cutting the noise around them, building the weekly rhythm that holds the team to account, and implementing the changes alongside your people until they stick. Implementation, not advice.

Who do you work with?

Owner-managers and managing directors of UK businesses with roughly 20 to 200 people and £0.5m to £20m revenue. The common thread is not the industry. It is that the business has outgrown the capacity of one person and every decision still routes through them.

How is this different from hiring a traditional consultancy?

Traditional consultancies sell analysis. You get a report, a deck and an invoice, and the implementation is left to you. We do the opposite. There is no discovery phase that ends in a document. We agree what has to move, then build it with your team, in your business, until it holds. Fixed project cost, not day rates.

What is the Operator Score?

A free 20-question diagnostic across the five pillars of the Operator System: Reality Check, Priority Lock, System Build, Team Grip and Execution Rhythm. It takes about 15 minutes and tells you where your business is losing momentum and what to fix first.

What does it cost?

The Operator Score is free. The Intro Workshop is £1,500. The 30-Day FOCUS Sprint is £15,000. The 90-Day Operator Reset is a fixed project cost agreed before we start, across three tiers depending on scope and team size. No day rates. No invoices that grow.

How much of our time does the Reset take?

One accountable sponsor, roughly 60 minutes a week for the grip meeting, plus working sessions when we are implementing changes. We do the heavy lifting between sessions. The point of the engagement is to give you time back, not to consume it.

We have tried consultants before and nothing stuck. Why would this be different?

Because the reason it did not stick was not the advice. It was that nobody owned implementation and there was no rhythm to hold the change in place. We build that rhythm first: named owners, weekly cadence, visible scorecard. Then we ship the changes inside it. By the time we leave, your team has been running the system for weeks, not reading about it.

Do you only work in Scotland?

We are based in Fife and work across the UK. Engagements mix on-site and remote. We have delivered full operational programmes entirely remotely where that suited the client.

What happens after the 90 days?

You keep the system. The final two weeks are handover: a plain-English runbook, the templates, and your internal owner trained to run the rhythm without us. If you want ongoing support, the Execution Partner retainer continues the work monthly, but the Reset is designed to stand on its own.

What if we are not sure which engagement fits?

Book the 15-minute call. We will tell you honestly which starting point fits, and if we are not the right help, we will say that too.
